This collaboration came about after Nuala and Jane were asked to teach at the respected Boxwood Flute School in Nova Scotia. They toured after the teaching week with Chris Norman and his ensemble and found that although they came from very different musical backgrounds, they share a strong creative bond which allows them to venture into unchartered musical seas!

Nuala wrote this piece ‘The New Yorker’ in January 2006, when she visited New York to study some of Jane’s amazing vocalisation techniques.

Nuala and Jane would both welcome the opportunity to work together on a longer project in the future.
